Hotel Marqués De Riscal in Elciego, Spain is the latest project from architect Frank Gehry, best known for Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum. The plush hotel, set in the spectacular countryside of La Rioja and surrounded by vineyards, is a trademark Gehry creation featuring his sculptural approach to buildings. The 43 suites are fitted with flatscreen TVs, high-speed internet access, CD players and marble bathrooms. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the restaurant or a drink in the rooftop bar offering sweeping views of the surrounding area. Treatments in the spa include something called “wine therapy”.
