Gieves & Hawkes, the suit maker, has turned its hand to jewellery. From next month, the Savile Row-based company will offer a luxury, bespoke service, allowing customers to finish a tailored suit with a unique tie pin, or cufflinks set.
The company says the design process for its jewellery lines will be similar to that of its suits, in which the customer plays an active role in deciding the style and the type of materials used. All the metals and stones will be ethically sourced. A 24-carat gold signet ring will be available from this autumn, bearing the company's naval crest, or your own family crest, which Gieves & Hawkes will help you research if required. Also available is a new line of vintage watches, restored for the tailor by Cartier and Rolex. When you're dressing head to toe in made-to-measure gear, attention to detail is everything.
