It might pack the stylish curves of a Porsche, but this sleek machine has a far more humble purpose: it carries your golf clubs. And it does the job rather well. The Lithium F1 is a remote-controlled trolley, designed to take the hassle out of lugging your equipment around the course. After you've played a shot, simply point the trolley in the direction of the ball, or the next hole, and send it on its way.
Lazy rich people are not the only target market, according to the product's manufacturer, Stewart Golf. A conventional trolley requires constant attention, says the company, whereas a remote-control model can be programmed to go wherever you want it to, leaving you free to concentrate on your shot.
Stewart Golf has listened to customers and made some key amendments to the product's predecessor, the hugely successful X3R model. It may have been hugely successful, but it was also huge and extremely heavy. The battery alone weighed 12kg. The F1 Lithium, battery included, weighs in at 11kg. It also folds down to a fairly manageable size, making it a little easier to get it in and out of the boot of your car. Of course, all this innovation comes at a fat price: £2,500. Do you still want one?
