If there’s one thing that you notice straight away about the new British Tailoring Room at Harrods, it’s the vibrant state of British design.
This is no dusty old tailor’s and there’s hardly a pinstripe in sight. Drawing on the talents of British designers such as Nick Tentis, Ozwald Boateng, Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood and Richard James, the Tailoring Room offers a mixture of semi-bespoke and off-the-peg suits.
“I wanted to bring together the best of British tailoring talent and showcase their products,” says Nick O’Donnell, buyer for designer menswear at Harrods. “The environment has been created so that affordable pieces can sit comfortably next to bespoke luxury tailoring,” he adds.
What it adds up to is a one-stop shop for some of the best in British menswear.
