The International Motorcycle and scooter show 2006

The International Motorcycle and Scooter Show 2006 takes place at the NEC from 27 October to 5 November. Along with the usual exhibitors and manufacturers, this year’s bike-fest includes a host of personalities from the biking world, including Charley Boorman of Long Way Round and Race to Dakar fame, former British Superbike champion James Whitham and female Isle of Man TT lap and Guinness World Record holder Maria Costello.

Boorman will be launching his new book at the show—an account of his adventure in the notorious Dakar Rally, which he kicked off at last year’s NEC Bike Show. Four-time World Superbike champion and all-round legend Carl Foggarty will be at the BMW stand signing copies of his new DVD Phileas Foggys’s New Zealand Adventure. On 1 November, all the stars of  British Superbike will attend the show for the British Superbike Awards.
