The Segrave Club is the latest in the growing list of so-called “supercar clubs” that started with ex-Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill forming P1 International with fellow Ferrari enthusiasts Nick Hancock and Michael Breen. The idea was to take the Classic Car Club approach and apply it to new cars.

Now Hancock is at it again, this time launching the Segrave Club, which he claims will solve the problem of availability by limiting the number of members and only investing in the most desirable cars.
The club’s starting line-up is certainly impressive, including the stately Rolls Royce Phantom and Bentley Continental GTC (shown). That Ferrari fetish remains and the club already boasts a 599 GTB Fiorano, a 612 Scaglietti and the new F430 Scuderia.

As with all such clubs, the ratio of cars to members is crucial and the number of cars currently in the Segrave garage means there will be fewer than 70 members. Whether that will really make the difference that Hancock hopes remains to be seen.
