Buy a pud and do some good

As part of its Christmas campaign, Crisis, the national homelessness charity, is raising money and providing fresh hope for homeless people in 2007, through the "Crisis Pud"—a delicious, luxury Christmas pudding that makes a great gift and adds a dash of ethical spirit to your Christmas dinner

In a seasonal twist on tradition, 100 'lucky sixpences' have been placed at random inside Crisis Puds—and those fortunate enough to find one could win a range of prizes including tickets to Pudstock—an intimate, "money can't buy" gig with Supergrass, Graham Coxon, Ed Harcourt, Athlete, Pearl Lowe and others to be confirmed nearer the time; Harrods hampers; theatre tickets; a Stella McCartney handbag and a one-off lace baby dress from Pearl Lowe's new designer collection.

Each Pud sold could allow Crisis to provide a guest with a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings at this year's Crisis Open Christmas, where Crisis opens its doors to homeless people. And "all the trimmings" is not just sprouts and gravy, but also the opportunity to see a doctor, dentist, receive clothing, have a hair cut, see a counsellor and enrol in a range of year-round activities to help them take control of their lives and move on to further education, volunteering and employability.

The Crisis Pud costs £20 including postage and packaging, and is available by clicking here or by calling 08000 199 099.

For every pudding sold, £15 goes directly to help homeless people rebuild their lives
