La Cave à Fromage in London's South Kensington is an Aladdin's Cave for cheese lovers. Rub the magic lamp and Todd Bridge appears, offering not just three but more than 200 French and British cheeses. The Entente Cordiale is very much in force here with perfectly ripe Camemberts sitting beside fruity Barkham Blues. An ex-chef, Bridge will have you tasting a cheese you've never tasted before while telling you where it's from, what the cow was fed on, how long it's been matured for and how best to eat it. The shop hosts regular tasting sessions matching cheeses with wines, beers and whiskeys.
