As far as exclusive food products go, Il Grande Vecchio goes a long way to satisfy even the most discerning of foodies. Only 50 bottles of this 100-year-old balsamic vinegar is produced every year.
As you might expect, it's not cheap. At £149.98 for 50ml, it is not one to generously drizzle on salads, but if you are after something special to add (by the drop) to equally fine foods such as lobster, foie gras, caviar or Parma ham, it ticks all the boxes.
Nurtured in ancient, blackened wood barrels by three generations of the Mussini family of Modena, each individually numbered bottle of Il Grande Vecchio is sealed with wax and carries a certificate of authenticity.
