Eat, Drink, Talk is a cookery school in Clerkenwell offering classes and events for novice cooks and enthusiasts alike. Run by Jennifer Klinec who has studied with food specialists from around the world including Canada, the US, Japan, Australia, Italy, France, Morocco and Syria, the classes offer something for everyone from Parisian Bistro fare, modern Japanese cooking, Sunday brunch to desserts for chocoholics.

Each class typically covers six different dishes including a special dessert. Special regional cocktails or drinks are served as standard to help encourage the culinary spirit and ensure students enjoy a relaxing and fun session. The only prerequisite is to turn up hungry as the form is to sit around a large table next to the kitchen preparation area and sample each dish that is prepared.

As well as taking away a binder with all the recipes, Klinec is full of useful information and tips—from the best brands of knives or pots and pans, comparative tastings of olive oils, sea salt or buffalo mozzarella to where to track down hard to find ingredients. Enjoy.
