Good news for fans of organic, sustainable and delicious food. Daylesford Organic, the Gloucester-based farm shop business run by the Bamford family, is about to open its largest store to date. The huge, new three-storey shop will open in Pimlico, London on February 27. Billed as a “breath of the countryside in the city”, the shop will range over an enormous 4,500 sq ft and will hope to attract some of the visitors drawn to the area’s celebrated Saturday farmer’s market.
Freshly baking bread—baked in store using a bread oven clad in Daylesford dry-stone walling—will fill the shop with a mouth-watering aroma and visitors will be able to satisfy their foodie cravings at the ground floor restaurant, offering alfresco pavement dining in the summer. If the food standards set at Daylesford Organic’s existing outlets—and especially the Clifton Nurseries—are maintained, it will doubtless make the store a must-visit destination for London’s food lovers.
Those unable to get to one of Daylesford Organic’s London stores, or to the original Gloucestershire farm shop needn’t feel hard done by, as many of the company’s best offers are available at the online store.
