Georgina Coleman Fine Art is proud to present an exhibition of photography by Angus Taylor, Boyarde Messenger and Jody Kingzett at Eight Club
This exhibition features the work of three of the UK’s most promising young photographers and allows visitors to view a series of works by each one. Each artist has taken an original and reflective study of their environment with their distinctive styles and approaches leading to very different results. All three are artists with a growing reputation and this is a great opportunity to see some of their work in the relaxed and enjoyable surroundings of Eight Club.
Angus Taylor is an experienced professional photographer and specialises in editorial, portrait and landscape. His collection is titled The Neon Graveyard and uses bold abstract shapes and bright colours against the blue sky of Nevada. The faded grandeur of the Neon Museum’s graveyard invokes memories of a faded past and the graphic style of the photography harks back to the 1950s, paying respect to the history of these iconic pieces of art.
Boyarde Messenger graduated from Bournemouth University three years ago and is showing a collection entitled Panoramic. Her subjects and style range from the quirky, observational and idiosyncratic to a meditative and more environmental side of portraiture. Intentionally breaking the rules of photography with regards to angle and cropping, Boyarde has taken wide-angle snapshots of summer life, drawing influence from the photographer Martin Parr.
Jody Kingzett spent his early years in America and Zimbabwe and was introduced to photography while studying Neuroscience at Edinburgh University. The motivation for this series of work, entitled Nature v Manmade comes from his belief that beauty is everywhere, even in the most humdrum scene. His abstracts seek to capture feelings through colour, tone and line.
